Sunday Morning I got up after my wife went to work at 6:00am I got up around 6:45am could sleep. I knew heavy rains were forecasted.

Yep it raining like crazy already. 7:30 I go to the basement and waters coming up the sewer drain, I get the Wet/Dry Vac I get 2 load of water dumped outside it's raining like crazy.
I look around behind me and water is coming in the basement door from the sewer drain beyond the door.
I start moving my drums first, to get them off the floor . Then i sart moving boxes with tubes and parts off the the floor.
I go up stairs and look out the window.

Man Water is every where! I 'm getting worried about my 604-8K's water is rising.
I'm not taking any chances I'm pulling the 604's out of their boxes. The boxes will be trash anyway when they dry.

The A-7's are ply wood Hopefully they'll dry out Ok. As a matter of fact I've been listen to them tonight.
So the 604's are back in storage for now . This time my 19"X24"X44" cab's will be Baltic Birch All the Way!

    Have fun!

Willie I'm looking at this and I'm lost for words.I live in Florida so we're always looking at these weather patterns and I've been through Andrew. It's important to be SAFE, lots of people get hurt after the storm. put stuff up high and LIVE you will be able to clean up. ALL THE BEST!

Wow, that's awful. I'd be sick if that happened to me.

    DW,
You still might get water damage if your A-7's aren't dried properly. I don't know how to do it, but maybe somebody can post the best way to dry them out. Remember that the plies are run criss-cross and will dry differently. I went to buy some sensurround bins this weekend and they were ruined because of water damage. Just tryin' to help.

That's a real bummer Willie, but at least the really important stuff's OK... you & Mrs. Willie.

It blew through here a few hours earlier with 40mph wind and 4+" rain, but little real damage. I was dead to the world and didn't wake for any of it. forums forums forums

I've been wondering how Jeff Markwart fared, being on the gulf side of Houston... forums

dry out okay and don't need major repair...

If you were flooded by backed up sewers you don't want to keep any of that stuff. Throw it away and claim it on your insurance.

The sewers backed up with too much rain water . Yes there was contamination but not raw sewage, Mostly rain water.
I still keep a spray bottle of Dilute Clorox handy.
    Have fun

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Insurance may not do anything...... it would probably be considered ground water, and unless you have flood insurance, won't be covered.
